Galerie Jacques Lacoste
Specializing in twentieth-century decorative arts, Jacques Lacoste promotes French designers of the 1930s and 1950s: Diego Giacometti, Max Ingrand, George Jouve, Serge Mouille, Alexandre Noll, Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, and Jean Royère. As an essential reference for the work of Royère, Jacques Lacoste promotes this incredibly innovative designer through regular research activity, exhibitions, and publications. The gallery’s interest in designers of the 1950s such as Pierre Chareau, Jean-Michel Frank, and Robert MalletStevens is not incompatible with its focus on designers of the 1930s, with whom the continuity is manifest. On the occasion of Design Miami/ Basel 2018, the gallery dedicates its booth to the modernism of 1930s and the UAM designers, including Chareau, René Herbst, Mallet-Stevens, Prouvé.
